Historic Preservation Office
The Seminole Nation Historic Preservation Department was established to encourage, educate, and promote the history, culture, and traditional ways of life of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
The Historic Preservation Office carries out the following objectives:
(1) Initiate and facilitate the proper identification, documentation, and repatriation of the remains of ancestors and cultural resources of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, including Seminole Nation consultations in the Southeast Region of the United States.
(2) Implement a comprehensive strategy to maintain, revitalize, and perpetuate the cultural traditions and heritage of the Seminole Nation.
